Week 12- Attitudes & Persuasive Communication
In looking at attitudes, there is an important model that creates attitudes towards a brand or item. How can we apply this model towards a product, and what is this model?
The model is called the ABC Model of Attitudes.
It includes three components: affect, behavior, and cognition.
Affect is how someone would feel about a subject of attitude.
Behavior is the actions someone takes towards the object.
Finally, Cognition is what someone believes to be true about the object.
We can apply this model to Reece's Peanut Butter Cups.
Affect: I feel that Reece's Cups are delicious and they are my favorite candy.
Behavior: When I go to Wegman's or any other store that sells the candy, I would seek it out to purchase it
Cognition: I believe that Reece's are a popular candy that is convenient to find and buy.
